Redditor Returns With Epic Update After Standing Up Date
This is what we live for!

Dates are a fantastic way for people to get to know each other better, and multiple people know this. Unfortunately, not all dates go as planned, especially when they are first dates.
We’ve heard hilarious stories of first dates, some of which end with one person escaping through the bathroom window.
The truth is, first dates can be very awkward. Many people feel a lot of pressure to make it the perfect outing, and this results in some people becoming very nervous during the dates.
We found one Redditor who didn’t even get the opportunity to have a terrible first date because they totally forgot they had booked a date in the first place.
OP shared on the AITA subreddit that they met a lady and invited them on a date on Saturday. However, when Saturday arrived, they went to the club with friends and forgot all about the date they had previously requested.
A few days later, they saw the lady they had asked out on the date, and she was upset. OP later found out why and asked Redditors if they were the AH, as the lady hadn’t reached out to remind them.
Many Redditors gave OP the AH title in the comments section of that post.
However, in an update to the post, OP shared that they had explained themself to her, and now, both of them were forming a very good relationship.
They stated that they shared this update to let others know they can fix things regardless of how bad it may seem.
Check out what other Redditors thought of OP’s post!
A big update from OP

A little background: Apparently OP's friend wants them to give the lady a call and apologize

An interesting end to the situation

Here's how the Reddit community reacted to the story:
"You're a success story to us all. Not the a**hole anymore."

"An a**hole reversal!"

OP is already taken!

"Nicely done redeeming yourself."

"Nice to see a**hole behavior being fixed in the world."

"I always appreciate when you can see in the comments that the OP is taking the judgement seriously and reevaluating"

"So...... is 'cooling it' the new lingo?"

"Great to read through and hear things improved. Good stuff OP"

The commenters responded positively to the post. Many stated that they would like to see more updates on the community.
People also commended OP for their actions and deemed them as NTA now. Do you agree that OP is no longer an AH?
