A Group of Friends Decide to Buy A House Together Valued at $580k and Live Together For the Rest of Their Lives

Many groups of female friends have been popular in pop culture to a wide range of demographics over the decades. Examples of this include the female friends in iCarly, Victorious, Girl Meets World and Gilmore Girls but more iconically Golden Girls.

However, a less discussed group of true female friends hail from China and these brilliant women have decided to live together for the rest of their lives. Not only that but the house they are moving in to has been valued at over $580k. These women are as brilliant as their plan and anyone should aspire to have a group of friends like them.

The plan

It all started as a joke between the friends but one day one of them found a 700 square meter house in Guangzhou and the plan quickly started becoming a reality.

The group had known each other for two decades and this plan had begun to be discussed for the past decade.

“We [said that we] would get together when we were 60 and live the retired life together,” one of them said.

Becoming a reality

While many other people’s plans of living with her friends quickly remain dreams this group saw this become a reality for them when they put together 4 million yuan ($580,000) to buy the house.

Building a retirement

The house, that was originally abandoned turned into a beautiful mansion surrounded by and idyllic landscape that would be perfect for their retirement.

The ground floor is a shared space for the friends while their individual rooms are on the upper floor. The furniture featured in the house has been imported from India and Morocco.

A love for tea

Each of the women have a love for tea so it seemed obvious to include a tea pavilion connected to the house via a wooden boardwalk.

Never lonely

While the house is situated an hour away from the nearest town, the friends say they will never be lonely.

 “We’ll probably cook together, barbecue in the fields, sing and collect food in the village,” they state in the video.“We joke that each of us should practice one skill so that we won’t be lonely and fight with each other 10 years later… Some can cook beautiful food, some know traditional Chinese medicine, some play instruments, and some grow vegetables.”
