This Artist Depicts Everything That Is Wrong With Today's Society Through His Brutally Honest Illustrations
This is your wake up call, people.

What is art? Many people would answer and say it's the paintings you see hanging on a wall or being sold in an art gallery. Well, frankly that is correct but even though it's a very big part of the art industry it cannot be seen as the only form of art.
There are a bunch of people out there who don't paint but use digital means to express themselves. Art isn't just about how pretty something is, but it's instead about the message that that particular art piece carries.
Gerhard Haderer is one such artist that is brutally honest through his artwork. He started as an illustrator and graphic designer, working for advertising agencies, but his life soon turned around. In 1985 he underwent a cancer surgery and decided to rather become a freelance satirical illustrator and caricaturist.
He recently decided to use his illustrations to depict what is exactly wrong with society. Have a look down below at this brutally honest and sometimes disturbing artwork.
Killing each other

Are selfies killing us?

We are too busy taking pictures to enjoy the view

Faking happiness

Children of today can't leave their phones for a second

What is a newspaper?

See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil

And the people that run our countries are doing nothing

No more living; just watching TV

Poor VS the rich

Gluttony

*Buzz*

Forcing everything to be faster and better

Killing our ocean; one piece of garbage at a time

Communication becomes non existent

We stay the same

Dreaming about being in the same situation just with fancier things

We are stronger in numbers

We always want to see what other people have

So many kids are starving and we just don't care

Even on the toilet we can't stop working or playing on our devices

Just throwing everything out

Man and pig is more alike than we think

And this is what art looks like now

We always want to be younger than we are

Are we killing to much plants to eat them?

With enough money you can do anything

Again with the monkeys

What a way to try to escape

No room for more business people

What has become of our security?

Everyone waiting to go on vacation, but is anyone going to get there?
