Redditor Builds A Snowman On Their Property, But Neighbor's Dogs Keep Peeing On It

We haven't ever probably heard of a story like this before which is why we wanted to share it.

We're back again today with another AITA post from Reddit that we wanted to cover because it's gotten quite a bit of attention from users on Reddit. Now, this story is a lighthearted one which we love covering because it's definitely different in comparison to what we usually cover on these AITA threads.

So with that being said, we wanted to cover this story of someone who came to Reddit to see if they were wrong for asking their neighbor to stop letting their dog pee on the snowman that they've built. Ultimately, this might not be something we're used to hearing people argue over, but OP does have a valid point.

Essentially your land is your land, so if the snowman is on your land, then technically, the dogs are peeing on your property which is a problem in itself. So we understand the frustration of OP, and we wanted to see what other people had to say in the comments.

OP starts off the post by explaining that they made a snowman and where it was placed on the lawn.

OP said that they even had a sign that they put up to keep the dogs off of their yard. They also posted an edit to explain that it is a real snowman, not décor.

The first comment said that OP was NTA but they were a little confused about the snowman being real and not just being a decoration.

This comment said that people will likely ignore the sign and we have to agree with that, especially when it comes to their dogs.

It definitely is disrespectful of the dog owner. They didn't know if kids did that or something and obviously didn't care.

This is definitely true. Nobody should be letting their dogs pee anywhere near your yard but some people just don't understand that I guess.

It could help to put the snowman farther back next time, but also dog owners should be weary about where they're letting their dogs play. It is true that if they pee once on an area then the other dogs will likely follow and pee on those same areas.

Someone suggests a fence if they continue to have problems since it'll help to establish a boundary line on where the dogs can and cannot pee.

The dog owner has been deemed as TA and OP is NTA at all in this situation.

I imagine that it's a bit different to pee in someone's yard versus peeing directly on a snowman that they built.

Well, this was an interesting story. We don't blame OP for feeling some type of way about someone letting their dog pee on the snowman that they built.

I think it's normal to have your dog pee on or near sidewalks, but essentially they shouldn't be anywhere near a snowman that someone built.
