SNL (Saturday Night Live) is one television show we all know something about. It's just one of those shows with so much history that we've all seen bits and pieces of it over the years, even if we haven't necessarily sat down to watch it.

The sketch comedy and variety show first aired back in 1975. It was hosted by George Carlin and was originally titled NBC's Saturday Night.

Since then, SNL has become an American television staple. Nowadays, the show is hosted by a carefully selected celebrity guest, who delivers an opening monologue, and performs alongside the regular cast in sketches (usually relevant to the celebrity host).

Over the years, the 'live' aspect of the show has led to various controversies playing out. From genuine mistakes to intentional acts of sabotage by cast members and guests, it's all happened on SNL.

But it's not all just comedy and controversy. There have also been numerous celebrity romances to come out of SNL.

Notably, Pete Davidson has met at least three of his girlfriends on the show. And he's not the only one!

Scarlett Johannson and Emma Stone both met their hubbies when they were SNL guest hosts. And, of course, most recently, Kim Kardashian got together with Pete Davidson after Kim hosted the show in October last year.

On a recent episode of The Kardashians, Kim shared that the couple's first kiss was on-screen during their Aladdin sketch on SNL.

Ben Affleck started dating SNL producer Lindsay Shookus in 2017. However, the couple didn't last long, breaking up in 2018.

Dan Aykroyd and Carrie Fisher met on SNL, although, according to Dan, the pair fell in love during the filming of The Blues Brothers. The couple was engaged for a short time before separating and marrying other people.

Cecily and Mike started dating in 2014 after costarring on SNL. The pair reportedly broke up in 2015.

5. Emma Stone and Dave McCary

Emma met SNL writer Dave when she hosted the show in 2016. The couple got engaged in 2019, got married in 2020, and welcomed a baby girl named Louise Jean McCary in 2021.

Pete and Cazzie met in 2015 when Cazzie's dad, Larry David, hosted SNL. The pair dated for two years before having a very public breakup in 2018, but it appears that they have remained friends.
