Man Mad At Girlfriend For Smoking Weed While He's At Hospital With His Mom, Says It Limits Her Comforting Abilities

Welcome back here again to yet another Reddit post that we'll be diving into and this one in particular is from the AITA thread which is a thread we love to look into very often. We often see these posts blowing up and people commenting a lot on them and giving people their opinions.

The AITA thread is a thread that people come to in order to get unbiased opinions and advice on their situations. Sometimes we like to just get an outside opinion on things rather than asking people who might already have some sort of opinion on you.

So with all that being said, we are looking at a post that was submitted by a guy who wants to know if he's in the wrong for not wanting his girlfriend to smoke w**d while he's at the hospital with his mom. He gave some reasons why and most of them included the fact that he feels like she's not fully there and she can't be emotionally available for him in his time of need.

There are a lot of different things people had to say about this but many agreed that OP's girlfriend should have respected his boundaries about the situation. Regardless, let's dive in and take a look at the full post and all of the best comments that were left on it as well.

OP started off by giving us a look into what was happening with OP's mom and why she was in the hospital in the first place.

This is when he starts talking about his girlfriend and what he asked her to do, versus what she told him she'd do.

He felt uncomfortable in this situation which is why he was asking her to stop smoking, but she wasn't willing to stop.

He gives us a little insight into how she was responding and what she was saying to him on why she wouldn't stop.

He explained that he was very upset at her and also at the situation with his mom and was just looking for comfort.

He added an edit to explain a bit of the timeline as well to share that she wasn't even smoking that long.

This person already stated that they think OP was TA in this situation for sure because of how he was acting.

Some people came to the comments though with opposing views and stated that they thought OP was NTA here.

Some people even felt strongly enough to ask why he was even with her.

OP gave a little more insight into the situation with his girlfriend and their smoking situation.

This person asked if he smokes too and he responded saying that he does.

OP also commented a response giving more of his perspective and why it was bothering him so much.

People had a lot to say here on OP's situation and OP actually responded quite a lot in the comments. It doesn't seem like he's planning to leave her as some have suggested, but he does think he's going to talk to her about the situation.

Hopefully, he can just explain more to his girlfriend why he felt the way he did.
