There are so many different types of smart people in the world. There are those who are book smart, there are those who are street smart, and then there are those who are of the smartass variety. 

That last kind is the people who love thinking and pretending that they have the highest IQ in the room and that they’re smarter than everyone else they meet. And, of course, they love bragging about just how smart they are. 

No matter what topic it is or no matter who they’re talking to, they’ll pretend like they’re an expert in the field even if they have zero clue what’s being talked about. They’re the wannabe eggheads that make every conversation insufferable just because of their insatiable desire to prove that they’re smarter than everyone they’re talking to. 

The thing is, with these people, the more that they brag, the higher that they fall. And although we suffer from a huge bout of second-hand embarrassment seeing them make utter fools of themselves, it’s still pretty fun to see them get what they deserve.
