30 People Share Things They Silently Judge Others For
“Lack of self-awareness”

There are so many ways that people are raised that differences are normal. You meet others and they do certain things that you don’t exactly understand and thoughts pop into your head, the next thing you know you’re silently judging them.
You might see strangers, and even loved ones, do things that hit hard with your pet peeves. They might actually even introduce you to pet peeves you didn’t even know you had.
Like leaving things scattered when you like things clean or the way people speak differently to their pets. It’s because you can’t imagine yourself doing those kinds of things.
People are told to choose kindness above all else and although judging sounds bad, it sometimes inevitably enters your thoughts. Like unsaid first impressions.
Not all silent judgments are mean though, in a r/askreddit post, a Redditor asked people what they silently judged others for and some are wholesome. For example, one of them answered that they judge overweight people when they see them running but that’s because they’re rooting for them.
We are discouraged from a young age to judge others, mostly because we were never provided the right context for it. It is natural for humans to do it, but it doesn’t mean that all judgment is hurtful.

leonra28When you judge people for something that you think is shallow, you can always curve your perspective and think about what might have made them do the actions they do. It would help you lessen negative thinking and gain more compassion for others.
You can also interpret your thoughts into actions or voice them out only if you think your opinion would help them out. Remember that everyone’s different but sometimes being inconsiderate might hurt others.
