Redditor Kicks Out Her "Crunchy Parent" SIL After She Threw Away Her Baby Products Because They're "Evil"
"When she said she can't afford to, I said fine, just get out and don't come back until I've been reimbursed or everything is replaced with the original items."

"Crunchy" is an internet term that refers to parents who raise their children with the conscious choice of only using natural products, food, and clothes. To a crunchy parent, products such as tablet computers, sugar, processed food, gluten, and plastic toys are all strictly prohibited.
Many of these parents share their lifestyle on platforms such as TikTok and encourage others to adopt it. Hashtags surrounding the lifestyle, such as #crunchymom, #crunchylife, and #crunchykids, have gathered up to 1.4 billion views and only continue to grow in popularity.
Nevertheless, alternative medicine has led to mistrust of Western medicine. That also includes medical professionals and lifesaving childhood vaccines.
A Redditor who goes by the username u/CrunchySiL made a post on the r/AmItheA**hole subReddit where she explained how she decided to kick her sister-in-law out after she threw away her belongings. The SIL and the user's brother are "crunchy parents," so the SIL thought she was doing the user a favor by ridding her of that "evil."
The r/AmItheA**hole community had a lot of different reactions to the user's post. Scroll down to check out the full Reddit post, and scroll a little further to read the comments from the original post.
Here's the original post by Reddit user u/CrunchySiL:

OP's brother and SIL have a list of things they refuse to use.

OP's baby's father took her out for her birthday, so her SIL and brother watched over the baby.

OP was shocked to find that many of her baby products disappeared after the SIL threw the "things she doesn't need."

After the sister refused to replace the items, OP decided to kick her out.

OP's brother reacted negatively to her decision, which made OP doubt her decision.

Here's how the Reddit community reacted to u/CrunchySiL's post:

OP's SIL is completely out of her mind.

She destroyed something that could have been at least donated.

Baby products are expensive.

"You’ve cost your family money and heaps of perfectly good food and single-use plastics ended up in a landfill 100% in vain."

Don't cause damage you don't afford to fix.

The SIL didn't want to leave OP with a choice and took that decision for her.

"If she can’t afford to pay OP then maybe she should take out a loan for it..."

The SIL caused even more waste by getting rid of those products.

"I'm surprised you kept your cool so well."

"Breastfeeding is not the best option for everyone."

Even if the SIL doesn't agree with OP's parenting style, she shouldn't have behaved that way.

It's something necessary to use baby formula.

The SIL left the baby to starve..

The SIL took food from a baby that she is not willing to replace.

OP had every right to kick her sister-in-law out. Her behavior is completely unacceptable and proves that she can't trust her around her belongings.
She should have thought about the consequences of her actions. If you enjoyed reading this, make sure to share it with your friends and check out similar content on our platform.
