It's important to feel like your boss has your back. There's nothing worse than working for someone who you know doesn't really care about you, and worse than that, someone who will go out of their way to make sure you're in an unhappy work place.

Usually these people have a lot of issues in their own life and the power and control they have at work is the only respite they get. That's sad, but it doesn't mean that you deserve to have your life ruined for their therapy. This is a story just like that. This lady needed the day off as she was throwing up all morning, when this was denied she decided that she would go to work and they could see just how sick she was.
