Entitled Shopper Ends Up In An Ambulance With A Broken Foot After Harassing A Young Woman With Autism

Once in a while, there are stories on Reddit that deliver a satisfying serving of schadenfreude. This OP's story is one of those rare ones.

OP was out to do her grocery shopping when she unexpectedly encountered an entitled shopper. OP has autism and typically goes to one grocery store where her mom's friend happens to be the manager.

They look out for her and if it's not too busy, an employee keeps OP company while she shops. OP was doing her rounds with Teresa, an employee when they crossed paths with the entitled shopper, who we will call Lois for brevity.

OP was comparing prices when Lois began taking things from OP's cart. It happened a few times, so OP called Lois's attention.

Lois told OP to "stop b*tching" because she can get replacements anyway. OP was so stressed out that she stuttered which fueled Lois to harass her more.

She told OP to stop talking and insulted her by calling her a slur. OP was sobbing by the time Teresa called the manager over the radio.

The manager warned Lois to stay away from OP and cautioned that she would be banned for harassing a person with a disability.

Lois walked away but not before calling Teresa a racial slur. Teresa bagged OP's groceries and the manager gave OP a discount for not losing it on the entitled shower.

"YOU!" she yelled at OP. She madly exclaimed that OP caused her so much trouble and vowed to f*ck her up.

OP moved just as Lois's foot made contact with the metal pole and they all heard a sickening crunch. The entitled shopper broke her foot.

The ambulance arrived and took Lois away to treat her broken foot

The CCTV footage was pulled and the police took statements from everyone to understand what had happened. OP's Aunt Mandy was called to help OP answer questions because she was panicking at that time.

There is no update about Lois, but OP got home safely despite her eventful day thanks to her aunt, Teresa, and the manager

Obviously, OP is in the wrong here; she shouldn't have moved!

Lois will find a way to spin this and make herself out to be the victim. Racist and violent? She can't pick a lane.

She probably didn't expect OP to find a way to stand up for herself

OP shouldn't let that one terrible experience stop her from living her life. There are more Teresa's and Aunt Mandy's out there than entitled and aggressive people.

Karma works wonders and lightning fast from time to time. OP got a lot of encouraging comments from her post, telling her she handled the situation wonderfully despite her anxiety.

The only person who should feel shame here is the entitled person who thought it was acceptable to harass OP. May her broken foot serve as a reminder to be kind, but I highly doubt it.
