Angry Redditor Asks If She's An A**hole For Kicking Her Father Out Of Her House For Making Se*ist Remarks

Thankfully, society has moved on from the old days when women performed all the household chores, and men weren't expected to lift a finger. But even so, some men still live in the past and insist that a woman's place is in the kitchen.
For one Reddit user, her father's misogynistic comments became too much recently, and she shared her story in the r/AITA (Am I The A**hole?) subreddit. The OP explained that her father is a "typical guy" for his age group.
She says she doesn't remember her dad ever doing housework when she was a kid. Instead, her mom did all the chores, even though they both worked.
The OP says she and her brother barely saw their father growing up. And as soon as they left for college, their mom filed for divorce.
According to the OP's dad, his wife divorced him "out of nowhere." He was oblivious to all the signs that she was unhappy.
As an adult, the OP has been cautious about who she dates. And she always makes sure her partners are prepared to split the housework equally.
The Redditor and her current boyfriend follow a list of chores that they share between them. Recently, the OP's father was visiting, and when he noticed the board, he commented that it wouldn't last long.
He said that it's natural for women to do all the housework and that if she keeps pushing her boyfriend to help, he will leave her. The OP told her father that this kind of thinking was the reason her mom left him.
The OP's dad said he made the money, so his wife had to do all the housework. When the Redditor pointed out that her mom also worked, he said that was "her own fault."
At that point, the OP told her father to leave. She was furious with him for being so disrespectful.
Later on, the OP's dad texted her and "apologized" for his "harmless" comments. Now the OP is wondering if she's the a**hole here.
