When we were kids, it always seemed to us like our parents would live forever. They looked so young, so ready to protect us, and they were always just there. For a lot of us who grew up with our parents, it seemed like our time with them will never end.
In our younger days, our parents were also always included in our dreams more than boyfriends or wives or anyone else. We just couldn't imagine life without them.
As we started growing up though, we also started understanding more of the reality of life. We started to realize that our parents won't be with us forever.
We started seeing the wrinkles around their eyes, how they were starting to slow down, and also the whites in their hair. Little by little, we were reminded that our parents are also human and that they grow old and will perish from this world someday.
With this reminder, a lot of us would do everything we can to cherish each moment we have with them, to be a little more patient, and to try to make each moment more memorable. More than that, however, Reddit user AnXiangShen reminded us to ask the questions that matter to our parents before they pass.
More specifically, the user asked Redditors to answer the question, "What questions should one ask their parents while they still have the chance?" and plenty of Redditors delivered answers that can melt hearts.
Here are the best ones.
