You don’t have to concur with me, but then nothing annoys as much as a food fraud in my view. Consider a solitary raisin in a puffy cinnamon and raisin bagel, or a dab of mayo softly cemented to the edge of a taco when you request extra sour cream on the side.

Consider how many lies you had to swallow as a result of all that deceptive packaging sold as if it were nothing. If that isn’t cruel, I’m not sure what is.

Food scams involving food products are a clever marketing tactic used by some of these restaurants. Brands understand that beautiful visuals sell, and that catchy images of great products give the illusion that they will sell quickly.

No, it’s not just secret meat and pink slime offered at fast-food restaurants. It turns out that even the most expensive restaurants will tell a few lies to boost the authenticity of menu options with humble origins.

We’ve all grown to expect that most of our news is untrue, and we all understand that there’s little truth in advertising. But who knew that the food we eat is deceptive?
