People Recall The Unpredictable Events That Lead To Them Saving Another Human Being's Life

Life is full of threats, and if you are not careful, they could potentially be deadly or lead to some serious complications. You can never prevent these things since they happen randomly and in the worst possible moments where a few seconds can separate someone from life and death.

In some cases, if no one is nearby at the moment of the incident, things can quickly escalate and have a much worse outcome. It's in those crucial moments where your life can depend on a stranger's kindness, who happens to be in the right place at the right time.  

Getting into a dangerous situation and being confident that no one is around to help you would certainly make you lose all hope and accept the fact that you're not going to make it. Once you are lucky enough to receive some assistance from a kind stranger, it will certainly feel as if an angel came down from the sky just to save you.

A Redditor who later deleted their account asked the r/AskReddit community if "[THEY] ever directly saved someone's life and how." The user got a lot of interesting replies to their questions. Scroll down and check it out!

1. "Toddler was walking about 20 paces in front of its family by a busy main road. It stops, turns to face the road, and runs like hell into oncoming traffic. I kinda scream/gasp something unintelligible and grab the toddler pulling it back onto the pavement. Family didn't even seem that bothered."

2. "A man dropped instantly in full cardiac arrest at my work, turning grey-green and looking just plain dead. A coworker and I did CPR and used the AED to zap him twice. I will spare the details of the gross parts and say after a couple breathes into her mouth she vomited into my mouth. One of the most fucked up emotional feeling ever. Being the reason why someone avoided certain death is certainly not something you can easily forget. One random stranger can be the reason why you're still drawing breath; you always expect to be saved by your family or the closest people in your life, but if it's from someone you've never met before, it's certainly a surreal feeling.
