Woman Kicks Out Her Friend And His Dogs After He Refuses To Take Care Of The Dogs Properly
Their excuse was that they worked too much to train and spend time with their dogs.

When getting a dog, most experts would recommend one that would fit your lifestyle because not all dogs are built the same. Some dogs are a lot more active and would prefer running around all afternoon while some dogs are content to lie at your feet and just snooze.
Getting the wrong match would be terrible not only for the pet owner but also for the pet. It's like fitting a square block into a circle hole of roughly the same size.
No matter which angle you take it, it's just not going to click unless there are plenty of adjustments made.
When getting a dog, you should understand the requirements of the breed you're getting and what kind of lifestyle they'll be best suited to. You can't just force them to fit yours.
Sadly, not all interested dog owners understand this. Some even think that they can bend the will of the dog to their kind of life but that won't give the dog the proper life they deserve.
As it seems, Redditor lsselke's roommates are just those kinds of people. They throw their dogs into their crates all day long and their reason is that they work too much to train or properly spend time with their pups.
After finally having had enough, OP decides to kick them out. Here's the full story.
OP asks:

OP and her family shared their home out of the goodness of their hearts

But they were blindsided with how many pets they were actually going to be allowing into their home

Not only that but they didn't properly take care of their high-energy dogs

To top it all off, they brought roaches to the house and refused to clean up for it

High-energy dogs like Collies and Huskies need tons of time to run their energy off plus they need plenty of good stimulation to prevent them from developing bad or frustrating behavior. OP's roommates should have known that or even checked up on that before getting the dogs and sticking them in crates all day long.
It would be easy to see why OP was so frustrated with them. People in the comments section also feel the same way.
Here are the top comments.
1. At least next time they decide to rent out the space, they have this lesson to help them safeguard their space

2. When getting dogs, it's best to only get the type that you actually have time or energy for

3. Hopefully, the Collie found a better home where they'll be loved and given the proper care they need

4. They did what they did of their own decision and now, they have to deal with its consequences

5. Hopefully, they end up in better families where they'll actually be given the time and care they need

6. Not only did they bring trouble for a while but they left behind more trouble too

7. They ended up completely where they are mostly because of their own choices

8. OP did what she needed to do

9. They created their own problems for themselves

10. Right from the start, they took advantage of OP's kindness

Those people needed to be gone

It's sad that both dogs had to experience that kind of neglect with their previous owners and it's also sad that OP had to "kick" them out. But it was probably the best way to get them to families or pet owners that would actually care for them and love them.
As for OP's friends, they made their own choices right from the beginning and OP did try to reason with them. Unfortunately, it was those very choices that led to their fallout.
At least the dogs are in a safe place now.
