Life at home can get pretty busy, especially when you've got a job, a partner, and three young kids. Criticizing his spouse's efforts and avoiding responsibility is not the solution.

OP had two options: either re-roll his clothing right away or leave them folded as they were.

OP treated her unfairly, making her redo the job as if she were his subordinate being punished.

Remembering his presentation afterward doesn't excuse this.

OP did something that wasn't fair to his wife. Instead of fixing it himself, he expected his wife to do it for him, not just once, but twice. That's not okay.

In a partnership, especially when one person is working and the other is taking care of the home and kids, it's important to communicate and respect each other's efforts. It seems like the husband was more interested in proving a point than genuinely helping with the laundry.

This can make the spouse who's already working hard feel unappreciated. Criticism and not taking responsibility for our actions are not good ways to handle things in a relationship.

Instead, it's better to talk openly, show appreciation for each other, and find solutions that work for both. In this case, the husband could have either fixed his clothes himself or just left them as they were, without making his wife redo the job as if she was being punished.
