Working in retail is one of the most frustrating jobs you could do, but it all depends on which country you are working in. Some people have no sense of decency and would allow themselves to behave however they see fit and say things you normally save for the closest people in your life.

It's extremely challenging to be forced to deal with that many people, especially when they are unpleasant to be around and end up ruining your mood. It takes one weird interaction to ruin your day, and no one wants that, especially if you have a long shift ahead of you.

Many have terrible personalities, which normally only affect their families and friends. However, if you happen to work in retail, you are forced to interact with this person and suffer the whole time.

Some interactions only last minutes but feel much longer than that. Each second goes by slowly, and you can feel the awkwardness building up but can't do anything to stop it.

The list below contains some of the worst issues and interactions retail workers have to deal with daily. It could be an eye-opener for some people who never knew that these things bother retail workers.

1. You could always go to another business that doesn't require masks.

At least you can spot them from miles away and prepare yourself mentally.

Reusing the same joke over and over again.

4. Wow, that's such an original comment that I've never heard before.

Retail workers are thirsting for an original comment.

5. It's so straightforward yet so complicated for some people.

They need to start including instructions with masks.

6. Now you have to work longer because someone decided to come last second.

People need to realize that most employees are paid a salary, and their contribution doesn't change that.

Working in retail is definitely not for everyone. You always have to treat customers as kings and queens despite their peasant behavior, and that's not something everyone can do. It makes minimal effort to be a decent, polite person, but people prefer being a-holes and treating retail workers like crap.
