Abandoning a child is a real problem, and it happens even in today's world. The causes of this tragic event are as varied and unique as the individuals involved.

A parent, guardian, or other adults in charge of a child who completely deserts them without taking into account their welfare, safety, or physical health is said to have abandoned them. When the parents fail to give the child living under their roof the necessary care, this also constitutes child abandonment.

While leaving a child at a stranger's door when no one is home or, just like in today's story, leaving them in a waste dump is an example of abandonment. The original poster went to the r/EntitledParents subreddit to tell a really saddening story that saw in a local newspaper years ago.

In the story, an elderly doctor couple with no children came to know about a newborn baby girl whom someone had left in a waste dump. They rescued her and took her to the hospital, where she luckily survived.

Years later, the girl herself became a doctor and started earning good money, only for her biological parents to show their faces. The girl didn't believe them, but after DNA tests, it was proven that they were indeed her biological parents.
