OP shared on the AITA subreddit that his artist girlfriend of eight years got him a pencil lengthier for his birthday, even though he didn’t use pencils.

To make it worse, the lengthier was for colored pencils only, and OP doesn’t color. He got upset by her gift and threw it in the trash, getting his girlfriend angry.

OP shared that this was one of many scenarios where his girlfriend had gifted him something he didn’t like or couldn’t use. He further stated she usually ended up using the gifts herself.
