Pregnancy is one of the toughest periods of a woman’s life. Growing a new human life inside you can’t be easy, anyway.
Women go through a myriad of emotions during this period. From excessive cravings to fatigue and countless physical changes, there are several things women have to experience during pregnancy.
Pregnancy isn’t just tough on the woman carrying the child, it can be quite challenging for those around her, too. This is due to the never-ending attention that a pregnant woman may require.
We found one story on the AITA subreddit that paints a vivid picture of this scenario all too well.
Our narrator (OP) shared that he and his wife are expecting a baby. And while he's excited about becoming a father, things haven't been particularly easy for him due to his health issues and his stressful job.
OP’s wife, on the other hand, quit her job immediately after she confirmed her pregnancy. While OP has no problem with this (since they had always planned it), he believes his wife has gotten lazy ever since.
This bold claim stems from the fact that she no longer does anything in the house except whining and complaining to OP about what she wants. In addition, OP has accused her of expecting him to do even the simplest tasks that he believes she can carry out on her own.
Recently, he returned home to his wife's usual whining after a bad day at work. Apparently, he wanted them to order food, but she was adamant that she wanted to eat a home-cooked meal.
This caused OP to scold her to tears for behaving like a child. Now the incident has spread throughout the family, and all the women are taking turns to rip into him for being insensitive.
