b Going to the doctor's office for any reason is already an anxiety-inducing situation. Just imagine how awkward it is for women to voluntarily bare it all to make sure everything down there is working perfectly.

No matter how much you convince yourself that gynecologists do this all day and they are professionals, it's just a weird experience that every woman has to go through.

A Reddit user shared her most recent trip to the OB-GYN and the experience is both uncomfortable and funny. The original poster (OP) u/GirlCowBev recounted her experience on Today I F*cked Up (TIFU).

During her visit to the "Doctor of the Womanly Nethers", while reclined on the stirrups and the doctor was checking her lady bits, the good ol' doc asked if she had a dog.

OP's brain short-circuited and she could not comprehend why the doctor asked this particular question. OP admits that she has a dog who she loves so much and dog hair does get everywhere.

Based on the OB's question, she thought that she somehow has dog hair stuck in her privates and she asked, "Um...is that a problem...down...there...?"

The doctor paused whatever she was doing and tried her best to remain professional. She looked OP in the eyes and replied, "Your face mask. It has dog bones on it. I thought you might have a dog."

There's no coming back from the experience! The story resonated with a lot of women and they also shared their funny but odd OB-GYN tales.
