We are all addicted to Instagram! It is the best social media platform to take random and weird selfies and post it for other people to see. It creates confidence in us by letting us express our feelings and ideas through a simple photo without being bullied and harassed. And besides sharing photos of memories with families and friends are great and fun to do, but there is nothing quite distinctive about these photos. Yes, it is different people in different places, but the storyline of the photos stays the same, none are really that different.
Or that is what we thought until Reza Bahram a photographer from Los Angelas started to scroll through 5000 Instagram accounts to find the best photos with just the right drama and authentication. She said that she felt like she wanted to show the emotions behind all the photoshopped selfies.
InstagramShe calls it project ReCognition.
She told PetaPixel, “I want to be more authentic on social media and follow more human stories.”
“People often find it uncomfortable being themselves on Instagram and I want to move beyond the fakes selfies and challenge others to express their tears, anger and the idea that we don’t need to be superhumans."
Most of the people loved the fact that she recreated these special photos.
But of course, there were the haters, who hate everything they possibly can. They said she lacks creativity and invading people's privacy, which could be a big issue for some people.
