We understand the paranoia that comes with being a female and definitely a female that works at any type of bar.

we're back at it again with yet another Reddit post that we'll be diving into today, and this one is from the AITA thread that we love so much. The AITA thread is the place to go if you're looking to get unbiased advice or opinions from people on the internet about your situation and whether or not you were wrong in your situation.
It's overall just a great place to go for advice or different perspectives from people on the internet. So, with this being said, we're looking at a post today that was submitted by a person who manages a sports bar and wants advice to see whether or not they are in the wrong for how they handled a situation.
An employee thought that a customer was recording her, but it turned out that when the manager went to investigate a little bit, she realized that the customer wasn't recording at all and that it was an honest mistake. However, the employee went after and said that OP didn't do anything about a customer recording her.
So, OP wants to know if she's wrong for how she handled the situation. If you're interested in looking into the full situation and seeing the full post, then keep on reading as we dive in and give you all the details.
OP starts off by giving us a little bit of information on where she works and what the dynamic is like there.
This is when the situation happened and she said that the employee was claiming a customer was recording her.
Upon OP investigating a little bit, it turns out that the guy wasn't recording her at all and it just looked like he was because his flashlight was on.
OP explained to the server what was going on and that the man wasn't really recording her at all and it was a mistake.
The server went around telling everyone that OP didn't help her out and just ignored that a man was recording her even though this isn't what happened.
Many people in the comments thought that she actually handled it quite well and that she didn't do anything wrong.
eowynheiressThis comment said it all honestly and gave OP a lot of actual advice on how to follow up on this situation.
eowynheiressSome people had no sympathy for the employee because of how she reacted to the situation.
appleblossom1962OP did their part so we're not sure why the employee went off the way she did and told employees that OP didn't' help when clearly they did.
IntelligentRoom8913A lot of people actually said to discipline or fire the waitress who is making these false accusations and rumors regarding the situation.
KronkLaSwordaNow this was pretty interesting because it definitely sometimes does feel like everyone thinks they are the "main character."
Evil_Capt_KirkOP did tell us how she explained the situation, though, because she told her what she found, and essentially, they could review camera footage from the bar as well.
seriousrikkThis might be the right move to kind of clear their name and just make sure the employees know that things were done right.
VielfrazWe definitely feel like OP handled this right, and as long as she gave adequate proof and information regarding the situation, then all should be well. We don't think the employee was right at all for spreading false information and bashing OP because of her beliefs about what she thinks happened.
