Online Group Shares 50 Utterly Dark And "Cursed Comments" That'll Leave You Stunned Or Make You Laugh

The difference is remarkable.
Social media has become a huge part of many people’s lives. It has been integrated into our businesses and even more so into our personal lives. With this and the search for likes, clicks and views, the version of our lives that we present to the world on social media has become distorted.
Rianne Meijer, a vlogger from Amsterdam has decided to showcase the difference with a series of images that show both the what is posted online as well as the realistic version of that photo.
These images give a great perspective on the lives we see online and how realistic they truly are.
Over the last decade people have become more and more obsessed with fame and popularity, especially online. With this comes a wave of people putting their best versions of themselves forward. This may help the image and “brand” they want to put out but ultimately this damages others perception of reality resulting in people aspiring for a life that technically doesn’t exist.
These images beautifully show how different realistic images are from those that have been set up, light balanced, colour adjusted and angled in a particular way to give off a look that is socially considered perfect.
Recently Instagram has mad a move to reduce the focus on popularity by removing the like counter from images so that people cannot compare their lives to the lives of others as much.
