We're back again today with another Reddit post, and this one is from the AITA thread, which you all know we love diving into so much. This thread is a place where people can come to get unbiased opinions and advice from people on the internet about their situations to find out if they are in the wrong.
So, with this being said, today we are l looking into a post that was submitted by a dad who is looking to sell one of their properties, but they're trying to do it without the involvement of any realtors. However, his daughter is a realtor, and offered to pay her a percentage to do it for them even though they have the ability to actually have the whole process done for free.
So essentially, he is offering it to her so he can help her out and pay her for it. The problem is that his daughter isn't happy with the price that he's willing to pay her, but he wants to know if he's in the wrong for wanting to stand his ground.
So if you're interested in hearing the full story by seeing the original post and also seeing all the best comments that were left on the post, then keep on reading.
OP explains in his post the situation he's in and how he doesn't need a real estate agent but that he's trying to help his daughter out.
u/HuntAble1770This is the update that OP left for us after getting a response from his daughter on the deal he offered.
u/HuntAble1770Thi sperson's response got the most likes and we can see why. They really said everything that OP needed to hear in this situation.
extinct_diplodocusHe probably should also maybe explain to her the details and share that this is quite literally free money.
crystallz2000It seems like everyone si on the same page and telling him to just keep his money then if she doesn't understand the benefits.
tosser9212This really shows a different perspective that the daughter might be having on the situation, rather than it being a business deal.
Apart-Cry-1482This person's idea isn't that bad honestly and it might be something worth taking a shot at just to get her to understand.
The daughter is clearly just not understanding how great of an offer this is and just how her dad is trying to help HER out.
MistaktonicUAlumThis pretty much shows us the outcome of this situation if she doesn't want his offer of free money.
Joe-StaplerEveryone was on the same page and telling OP that he's NTA and to stand firm or tell her that the deal is off, which is fair in our opinion.
AnseeThis dad is clearly just trying to help out his daughter, and it's quite odd for her to even ask for more money when it's her dad and also when he's actually trying to help her out. Everyone in the comments gave great advice for OP to just stand firm and if she doesn't like the offer, then he can do it himself.
