In this story, we are taking a look at a wildcat that is pretty rare, and because of its living conditions, it isn't often spotted by people.
This cat does resemble a bit of a regular housecat, but obviously, you can see the difference between this cat and how it resembles a typical wildcat. Scientists have been studying this cat, but there hasn't been much footage of the cat itself until now.
We're going to be looking into a story about this wildcat and take a look at the footage captured of it on Mount Everest. Let's dive in and take a look at this beautiful wildlife cat and see what scientists have to say about its discovery., plus hear more about the wildcat in general.

Their size resembles that of a standard housecat, and they have fluffy tails, faces, and overall bodies. They are actually lighter and smaller, though; it's just their fur that gives them the fluffy and large appearance.
They have great agility and climbing capabilities which makes Mount Everest pretty suitable for them. Scientists were pretty excited to find proof of this rare wildcat.
“It is phenomenal to discover proof of this rare and remarkable species at the top of the world,” said Dr. Tracie Seimon of the Wildlife Conservation Society’s Zoological Health Program.

They have big ears and wide faces and many people think they are quite adorable. However, they can be quite territorial and they are not exactly the type of pet that you'd like as a housepet as they can get aggressive.
Now that scientists know where to find these rare wildcats, they are looking into further exploration to see how many Pallas cats might exist and help to aid in their preservation as they are considered a rare breed.
It seemed like a lot of people were pretty happy about this discovery.
We love hearing great stories like this, and we're excited to hear more about these adorable wildcats. Hopefully, scientists can figure out how to best preserve this species to ensure that they can save their already rare species.
