This New Detail About Disney Pixar's Movie "Up" Has Us Bawling

Up is a hit Disney/Pixar movie that came out in 2009 and melted hearts everywhere. In the movie, an old man named Carl loses his wife. He and a boy scout named Russell, who turns up on his porch out of nowhere, lift his house into the air by tying balloons onto it. They then travel to South America and back, trying to fulfill the dream of Carl's wife. I won't ruin the rest of the movie, but it's the sweetest thing ever.

Of course, if you've seen the movie, you know that Carl's wife's name was Ellie. There is a montage at the beginning of the movie that details their life together and ends with her passing away. It's a tear-jerker every time people watch the movie and it's only going to get even sadder from here.

Hold on to your seats for this because we're about to blow you away with another detail from the movie. It's more proof that Pixar misses nothing.

In 2015, Pixar told everyone that they created a custom color of Magenta for Ellie in the movie. Here you can see the color on her bandana.

The color is even used at Ellie's funeral so that we are forced to think of her.

If you're not crying yet, look at this. After Ellie passes away, her magenta-toned overcast disappears from sight around Carl's house.

Here's where it gets crazy! After Ellie passes away and he meets Russell and they go on their crazy adventure, you can start to see Ellie's magenta color subtly appear again in Carl's life.

Towards the end of the movie when Carl and Russell return to their home town, Carl gives Russel his boy scout acheivement pin and then the two of them and Dug eat ice cream ouside.

Then, the ice cream scene switches to Carl and Ellie's house on top of Paradise Falls (where Ellie dreamed of going). As you can see, the sky is Ellie's magenta pink, because Carl has gotten Ellie's magic back into his life.

It's safe to say that we will never trust Pixar OR the color pink every again for as long as we live.

I don't think we'll ever recover from learning the truth about the color pink.
