Redditor Wants To Know If They Are Wrong For Picking Up Basketballs That Get Thrown In Their Yard Only Once A Day
"Worst part is that it happens usually around the time when I am in my home office working"

There's nothing as annoying as moving houses only to discover an annoying issue that you have to deal with in your new apartment. There are so many reasons why people move into new houses.
These might include the desire for a better house or apartment, a more affordable living arrangement, the desire to buy a house rather than rent one, and the desire for a better area with fewer foreclosures, evictions, and crimes. Meet u/Extension-Town-7867, the OP in today's story, who has to deal with an issue only after moving into his new house weeks ago.
The thing is that there is a small neighborhood park that has a basketball court, and the OP's house is directly behind the hoops. So a good number of basketballs get thrown into the OP's yard, and you know what that means.
Well, a bunch of kids always come to the OP's door asking for their balls. If this happened once a day, the OP wouldn't mind so much, but it happens multiple times a day, and it's tiring.
Not to mention that this happens around the time the OP is working. The OP decided to put up a sign on the front door that said the balls would be picked up and left on the porch once a day in the morning.
But this didn't sit well with many, including the next-door neighbor whose kids use the court a lot.
The Title

This led to a bunch of kids always coming to the OP's door asking to get their balls

She says since it only takes a minute to go and get their ball

Here are some of the most upvoted comments from redditors for you to read through below

You are working during the day

This Redditor would put a mark on each ball that comes in

The real solution would be fencing the court ball

The best way to get what you want is...

You don't even have to pick them up at all

Keeping the balls to make some sort of obscene totem

It's no wonder the house was available

They have every right to trespass any property

This Redditor would install a security camera as well

This is a park's problem not a you problem

It should be the city or whoever runs the park

This Redditor would pretend they started working in an office

Drop the balls off at the police department

This Redditor has a similar story to share

Your work obviously takes higher priority

Just toss them into your neighbor's backyard

You'll change it from once a day to once a week

Some people have no shame at all

You do have to return the balls though

There's no disputing the fact that the OP's work takes priority over picking up balls for kids numerous times a day. Redditors understood the OP's plight, and they gave the "not the AH" verdict.
