The photographer's goal was to blend in, and it appears he has accomplished it!
Humans may definitely form bonds with any animal. Although humans frequently favor cats and dogs because they are adorable and easy to like.
The baby schema, often known as the "cute response," or neoteny, is what this is. We prefer youth-like features like large eyes, broad foreheads, and smooth curves.
These characteristics resemble those of a human newborn and elicit social interaction and even parental worry. According to studies, people favor creatures that think, behave, and look like them.
Nick Kleer, a wildlife photographer and conservationist from South Africa, has witnessed a wide variety of amazing species over his career. Despite this, he seems to have developed a lifelong friendship with a pack of endearing and fascinating meerkats.
“When you’re a wildlife photographer, the idea is to blend in with your environment so that you don’t scare off the animals," he said in one of the comments he made about this interaction on Twitter. It appears like Kleer has succeeded in his mission to fit in!
The amusing video shows Kleer lying on the ground with his camera and a meerkat perched on top of his head. Finally, the sly photographer is encircled by a sizable number of the fluffy creatures.
They engage with him as if he were a part of the surrounding natural scene, and they appear to be at peace in the end.
The fact that a human was invading their space didn't seem to bother the animals; instead, they used him as a high point from which to observe what they were doing more closely. Kleer has already interacted with native South African meerkats on multiple occasions.
The photographer has shared a lot of content with him and his fuzzy meerkat friends over their time together, and it seems like they have gotten along well. As you can see from the photo, Kleer was fairly close to these amazing little creatures.
He said it was a memorable experience and an incredible joy to get to know these little ones a little better. “As you can tell, I got quite close to these incredible little creatures,” Kleer wrote on an Instagram post.
He said that they were the "cutest creatures on the planet" in another post. If not already, he has most likely convinced everyone on the internet.
These are a selection of some of his gorgeous unscripted footage of the Meerkats having fun, napping, exploring, and generally acting lovely. You can visit his Instagram page to see more of his fantastic work.
