How Twitter Reacted When A Doctor Said Period Cramps Are As Painful As An Heart Attack

Period cramps are something women worldwide are struggling with each and every month. We sometimes see it as a punishment for being a woman or not being pregnant. Some women have it worse than others, where they are immobile for a whole day.

But still, this is so under-researched and frown upon by men saying "It's not that bad" but they have no idea what it feels like. That is why a doctor did research on period cramps and compared it to the pain of a heart attack. This statement has raised confrontations and a lot of questions that women have been keeping buried all this time.

Like why is women's pain not taken seriously? Why do we have to keep quiet, take a pain pill and go on with our daily activities? Would it have been an issue if men had to deal with it? These questions have prompted further research into the subject and hopefully, doctors and employers will start taking it seriously.

It's not a fun thing to have and even though women have a high tolerance for pain, we still experience it on a much more intense level than men. Most people are uncomfortable when it comes to discussing periods and don't want to get involved when social media is buzzing with it. It took one man to realize that maybe this is as bad as they say and it took Twitter by storm with women all over sharing their stories.
