Isn’t it reasonable to argue there’s no such thing as a “perfect” movie? Movies are purely subjective to the tastes and genre preferences of the viewer, aren’t they?

Though the choice of a movie is all about personal tastes and preferences, that just doesn’t mean that there aren’t other movies out there that have been deemed so good by a large number of movie connoisseurs that they are now widely regarded as perfect or excellent movies. In fact, there are movies from almost every decade and a wide range of categories that have received excellent critics’ evaluations.

How is a movie’s perfection even assessed or decided in the first place? That will definitely prove difficult to ascertain.

Fortunately for us, Rotten Tomatoes employs its “Tomatometer” system, which represents the proportion of professional critics who gave the film a positive review. Whether you concur with this or not, a number of movies have received perfect scores on the Tomatometer, indicating that they are as close to perfection as it gets when it comes to movies.

Among these “perfect” movies, Frankenstein (1931) stands out. It’s an original adaptation of Mary Shelley’s novel, Frankenstein, and it’s unquestionably a must-watch for any horror film connoisseur.

It is, of course, about Dr. Henry Frankenstein, who was attempting to resurrect the dead. He actually succeeded in making a monster out of the dead body parts he patched together.
