The whole pandemic situation is already depressing enough, why not laugh it off instead with these?
In 2020, the world went to a standstill a few months after the coronavirus was detected in Wuhan, China, last December 2019. People all across the world have been blanketed with panic and anxiousness about what's to come. When the whole world seemingly went under quarantine, it started a period of dark times that either made people go into a downward spiral or they used the time to reflect and improve themselves, physically, mentally, and emotionally.
But let's face it, a lot of people went through the former first—the stress, anxiety, fear, and for some, dying loved ones have become too unbearable to deal with, especially with the first few months of quarantine. It's bad enough getting locked in but it was also even more distressing to see literally thousands of people dying all across the globe because of a malevolent virus that ensured we welcomed the next decade with a bang.
That being said, people have found a lot of ways to cope with the negative emotions they were going through, as well as to help release the stress they get from hearing the news every day. Some decided to work out, some decided to do freelance work, some tried to fall in love back with their hobbies, and some have decided to hone their craft and share it for everyone in the Internet world to see.
For Mark Zukor, he started making comics about the pandemic to "blow off some steam," as he says. He started it as a way to entertain himself while dealing with the world's situation; and with his cynical and sarcastic humor, his comics are definitely a hit.

The early months of the quarantine life in 2020 were definitely a whole other experience—because we literally did not have any idea what we were going to do. Amidst the horrendous news, it's a good thing that artists like Zukor here have decided to share their talent in making the whole situation slightly more bearable!
