CIA Agents Might Have Found Pablo Escobar's Drug Submarine On The Coast Of Columbia

Most of us know the series on Netflix called Narcos. It is based on the life of famous drug dealer Pablo Escobar. He was a notorious drug dealer that was so wealthy at one stage that he made millions of dollars per day! Although everyone knows about his life and what he did, there are still mysteries and treasures out there that must be found.

The biggest mystery and treasure that everyone knows about is the reported $50 billion that Escobar hid away in a location and nobody knows where it is. Some have tried to find the treasure but they have failed.

So two ex CIA agents who are currently running a documentary on Discovery Channel about Escobar's millions has reportedly found his submarine that he used to transport drugs, mainly cocaine, from Colombia to Puerto Rico.

The Sun reported that divers who used to work for the US Intelligence Agency is diving and exploring a location that is unknown just off the coast of Columbia. They documented this search on Discovery Channel.

Discovery uploaded a video to their Youtube channel, where you can see divers Doug Laux and Ben Smith who are ex CIA agents, exploring the ocean for the missing treasure and submarine.

They didn't manage to find anything except for loads of scrap metal and a metal box that they don't think has any value.

The team is luckily not discouraged so fast and they will continue their diving expeditions to find the submarine. They are certain that the seabed has shifted and that the wreckage will be somewhere close to the location that they have been searching.

Escobar started his criminal career as any newbie would he stole cars and sold illegal cigarettes in his hometown, Medellin.

This has put him on the path of becoming the leader of the Medellin Cartel. They were a large group of gangs that supplied the US with 80 percent of the cocaine that they were using in the 1980's.

He quickly moved up in the world of cocaine trafficking, so fast that he actually had a fleet of vehicles to help smuggle cocaine into the US. His vehicles consisted of a variety of cars, 6 helicopters, and 15 planes. These are only the ones that are known of.

$420 million a week is how much the cartel brought in, in the mid 1980's. That is about $22 billion a year. It is silly to say that he was loaded!

He stashed the cash all over the city in various locations that are unknown. It is also believed that because he had so much money he had to buy $2500 worth of rubber bands each month to keep his notes in order.

Escobar was listed as the seventh richest man by Forbes Magazine in 1989. The locals of his town also looked up to him as the 'Robin Hood' as he gave money to the poor.

The cartel boss, as we know him, was shot and killed by police in December 1993 while he was running away from the police on the rooftops of houses. Even though the cops confessed that they killed him there are still people out there who think he committed suicide after he hid all his fortune around Columbia in different locations.

Only $8 million of his fortune has been found in the jungle in a complex where Escobar had cocaine factories. Is it possible that he maybe stashed all his fortune in places he owned and did business in?

Christian de Berdouare certainly thinks so, as he bought one of Escobar's properties in Miami in 2014. He thinks there are some treasures in the house and that is why he bought it. We don't know if he found it and I don't think we will.

Pablo Escobar was a dangerous, famous cartel boss that was filthy rich and he left all his fortune around Columbia for us to find. Stay tuned to Discovery Channel, I know I am, to see if they find the famous treasure that everyone is searching for.
