Newly Declared World's Oldest Living Cat Has Just Celebrated His 30th Birthday

Once you hit a certain age, nobody really wants to get much older. But this pretty kitty has managed to age gracefully and looks wise beyond his years. The moggy, Rubble, has been named the oldest cat in the world, having celebrated his 30th birthday just last week.

Rubble has been with his owner, Michele Foster, since she took him in as a kitten in 1988. To celebrate the big 3-0, Rubble had big party celebration at his local vets, being treated to a free check-up, some tuna treats, and a month's supply of medication. As Rubble suffers from high blood pressure, Rubble regularly visits the vets for his medication. Shaun Moore, one of Rubble's local vets, is amazed at how spectacularly Rubble is faring considering his age.

According to the record books the oldest cat ever, known as Creme Puff, lived until the age of 38 which is truly remarkable.

"He is old now and would not like too much attention or be hassled. We would prefer if he was just left to live out his old age in peace", Michele says.
