We all love a bit of nostalgia, and nothing brings on those nostalgic feels quite like a reboot of one of our favorite childhood movies or TV shows. It's crazy to see some of the shows and films we grew up watching remade for a new generation.
The thing about reboots is they provide a different perspective on stories we already know so well. They can take us on a wild ride back in time but also force us to look at some of our favorite characters and their stories differently than we may have decades ago.
Many modern reboots are also making an effort to diversify story-lines and casts where the originals may not have done so. For example, the original version of The Wonder Years had an all-white cast, whereas the reboot features all African American actors.
And, of course, in the original Ghostbusters, the main characters were all male. But the reboot changed the story to make the three main characters female.
It's refreshing to see some of our favorite childhood movies and TV shows become more progressive than they were so many years ago. Let's take a look at 15 reboots that are guaranteed to give you all the nostalgic feels.
1. Four Weddings and a Funeral
Hulu turned this iconic 90s film into a 10-part series, putting a modern twist on the original storyline. Created by Mindy Kaling, the series is excellent in its own right.

The Wonder Years was, and always will be, an iconic series. The reboot is directed by the show's original star, Fred Savage, and the cast is all African American.
Erika Doss/ABC3. First Wives Club
The 1996 film starring Diane Keaton, Bette Midler, and Goldie Hawn was a 90s classic. The story is the same in the reboot, but the cast is more diverse, which offers a new perspective.
Showtime4. Punky Brewster
Unfortunately, the reboot of the 1984 hit show was canceled after just one season. Apparently, audiences weren't keen on watching Punky as an adult trying to make it as a single mother.
5. I Know What You Did Last Summer
Based on the 90s horror movie, this TV series version is set to be a hit. Like the film, the plot follows a group of teens haunted by a car accident that killed a man on graduation night.
6. Fuller House
Fuller House was canceled after five seasons, but fans loved the reboot of Full House. With most of the original cast involved in the reboot, it was a delightful trip down memory lane.

The original Party of Five series was based on the Salinger kids trying to make it on their own after their parents died in an accident. In the 2020 reboot, the story is slightly different, with the storyline being around a Mexican family whose parents are deported.
8. The Craft: Legacy
The 90s movie, The Craft, was given a makeover in 2020 when The Craft: Legacy was released. The reboot is both a sequel and a remake because it features an entirely different cast but still follows the events in the original film.

There have been several interpretations of this classic story, from the original in 1949 to the 1994 remake and now the 2019 version. Starring Emma Watson, the new installment is just as lovely as the previous ones.
Wilson Webb/Columbia Pictures10. Doogie Kameāloha, M.D.
We all remember Doogie Howser, MD, starring a baby-faced Neil Patrick Harris. In the new series on Disney+, Doogie is a young female doctor instead.
11. He's All That
The 1999 film, She's All That, starring Freddie Prinze Jr. and Rachael Leigh Cook, was a favorite of every 90's teen. In the new version, TikTok star Addison Rae plays the lead, trying to make an unpopular boy at school prom king material.
12. Saved By The Bell
Saved by the Bell would have to have been every teen's favorite show in the 90s. The reboot follows a new class at Bayside High, and some of the original cast members make cameo appearances.

This adorable adaption of the television series and movie from the 90s (which was based on the book series) is quite different from the original. It still has the same charm, just with some added pop culture references to appeal to the younger generation.
Netflix15. The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers
Emilio Estevez returns as the coach in this reboot of the iconic 1994 Mighty Ducks film. The series adaption of the film also features Lauren Graham and is the perfect follow-up for fans of the original franchise.
