We're going to be looking into another viral TikTok today about something pretty common that a lot of people do or have done, or even would do. We love covering TikTok videos because they're super popular and very entertaining to watch.

So, that's why we wanted to take a look at this viral TIkTOk that was created by someone who wanted to tell a story about how they quit their job. Usually, jobs give out some vacation time or allow you to ask for off days, but they don't necessarily have to grant them.

That's what happened here, and the boss decided to deny the vacation time that was requested. Sometimes bosses definitely take advantage of their employees, and sometimes they decide to retaliate.

Employees usually like to think of their family and having vacations or holidays with them as a priority, so they'd be willing to quit their job over denial of time off. We're going to talk about and share a TikTok video of a guy who went through this and needs to quit because of being denied time off.

Supposedly he planned a trip to Europe but he didn't ask for vacation time before the deadline, so it was denied.

Some of us might agree with his decision to quit, while others might think that he lost out on an opportunity, but I would consider that choosing family over a job.

Employers really do need to be more understanding and giving when it comes to time off because their employees deserve it.

This goes for the scheduling too because jobs like to be dramatic. Either you work with the availability that I have, or you don't work with me at all.

I feel like it should be more of a heads up, not a request at all. It's just a way to tell your employer that you won't be at work those days.

We don't blame TikToker for making the decision to quit his job after being denied time off. We really don't even think it should be considered a request, and it should be more of a heads-up on what days you'll be out of work.
