Woman Goes Viral For Calling Out DoorDash On Their Refund And Compensation Policy

If you don't know what DoorDash is, even though you probably do, it's a meal delivery service that partners with many different food places to be able to deliver your orders. It's a third-party company that hires at-home workers to pick up and deliver orders to paying customers.

Now, typically this is a really convenient service and it is a great way to be able to deliver almost anything to your door, but with everything, there are some problems that can occur with this service such as wrong orders, delivered at the wrong place, or other delivery errors. With this being said, it's normal for companies to have to refund or compensate for orders that have gotten lost, misdelivered, or other things.

It seems like regularly DoorDash has no problem helping out customers when something like this happens, but when this woman tried to get compensation for her misdelivered order, she was shocked at the company's response.

Now, we know that there are rules but ultimately we don't really feel like she's met her limit at that, but that's exactly why we wanted to cover this story today. So if you want to hear more about what she and DoorDash had to say about her viral video, then keep on reading.

She goes on to explain the situation of how she tried to get compensation for her misdelivered order but DoorDash quickly shut it down telling her that she'd gotten refunded twice prior. According to her, these refunds were for $1 and $4.

She was unfortunately really upset about this because not only did she not get her food, but she also didn't even get any sort of refund or compensation for the messed up delivery. She explains that even in the photo of her order the address is clearly wrong.

Here is more on what she had to say:

“They said no because they’ve compensated me in the past so I am no longer entitled to extra compensation,” she claims.

“I’m just trying to figure out the business model around ‘if we don’t give you the things you paid for enough times, we just don’t have to give you a refund for the things you don’t have.’ Is that legal?"

After hearing this story and all of the other horror stories in the comments I think it's safe to say that sometimes it might just be better to go out and get the food if you can. DoorDash and other companies need to do so much better when it comes to customer compensation and customer service.
