Have you ever heard of Hooded Warbler birds? The Hooded Warbler are small birds that measure around 5 inches and are native to North America to as far as the southern regions of Canada as well in the west indies.

They are undeniably attractive and unique, especially the male hooded warbler, where it displays a golden yellow body and face, framed with a jet black hood that makes a perfect color combination. Female warblers are often olive in color with pale yellow tones down the belly.

The cutest thing about these hooded warblers is that both the male and female sing to attract their counterpart during the mating season. The female then makes its nest on low areas made of dead leaves and barks, where she lays around 5 eggs that will incubate for 12 days.

Due to the demand of breaking up forests into smaller portions, and not to mention, being preyed on by cowbirds that are also present where they live,  hooded warblers are now decreasing in population, but they are not yet considered vulnerable.

To know more about the hooded warblers and see how amazing these birds are and how they continue to populate, continue reading this post and enjoy! Have a nice day ahead everyone!

Female Hooded Warbler

The female hooded warbler is as beautiful as its male counterpart. The difference lies within their plumage, where the female's cap shows an olive green color instead of a black one that you can see in males.

The belly of a female hooded warbler also has a golden color with a tinge of green to match its olive upper color.

Migratory Birds

The hooded warblers are fond of migrating from one place to another. This is why you will see them at some areas in the Northern part of America to the west Indies.
