Her husband’s mother had been a constant presence, starting with daily FaceTime calls just two days after OP left the hospital. Why, if they hadn’t stopped her by gently suggesting it was too early to visit, she’d have been at the door by now, bags in hand.

The story in detail

Since giving birth, OP has had no oeace from her mother in law. In her MIL’s eyes, everything  OP did was wrong and she criticized her constantly.

OP’s MIL calls often to see her granddaughter and speak to her son (OP’s husband). Surprisingly OP discovered her MIL’s next plan was to move closer to them and be involved in their lives.

During a private conversation over the phone with her friend, OP’s husband overheard her response and became upset. He believes his mother living nearby will be of great help with the baby and house chores.
