You know that both tattoos and cats are pretty amazing on their own, but have you ever seen tattoos and cats go together? That's something you don't see every day and that's why Kazuaki Horitomo, a Japanese artist, knows how to turn two of his passions into outstanding and unique paintings.

These special paintings go under the name of Monmon Cats and it's something out of the ordinary. The cats tattooing other cats are wearing beautiful body art themselves and only their heads are left out from the ink.

Kazuaki is also a tattoo artist and has been doing this for more than 20 years. He is very familiar and skilled in Tebori, which is a Japanese technique where body art is made by hand.

Horitomo's paintings are done in the ink wash style and that's why they look like they're ancient. Only if you know about the modern style that is Monmon Cats is when you realize that it wasn't created a long time ago.
