Redditor Angry At Mom For Missing Her Graduation Because She Chose To Stay With Other Daughter And Her Newborn

Welcome back to another post today that we'll be looking into from the AITA thread that was submitted by someone looking for advice from the internet. Ultimately, people come here to see if they are wrong for how they acted in a certain situation, and in this case, people have a lot to say.

Now this person comes to Reddit to explain that she has an older sister who recently had a baby, and it happened to be the night before her graduation. So the next day, she expected her parents to go to her graduation, but their mother refused to go because she didn't want to leave her eldest and her grandchild.

This situation obviously was upsetting to OP because she wanted her mom to be there, and I think that she kind of expected her mom to be there, but she really didn't come to the graduation. The story itself ended up working out because they realized what they did wrong, but ultimately there are a lot of feelings still attached to this story.

With this all being said, we want to share with you OP's full post so that you can get an idea of the story and what happened. We'll also be sharing some of the best comments on the post as well.

OP starts off her post with explaining an update on the situation and how everyone reacted about this situation and it turns out that her family actually was on her side mostly and not her mom's side.

This is when OP starts off her post and explains the situation with her sister going into labor and then her mom missing her graduation because of this.

She explains in more detail what the chain of events were and basically explains what happened once her sister had the baby. She then goes into details of what her and her dad did.

She ends her original post by saying that she isn't mad about anything other than the fact that she feels like her mother could have still attended her graduation.

OP ends her post and adds in some edits that can help us understand her perspective and point of view more after reading some comments.

People came quickly and let her know that she wasn't necessarily in the wrong and her mom probably could've went to both. She shouldn't feel any less of an accomplished person because of all of this.

This person laid out everything and the reasons why she should have been upset about this and that her feelings were reasonable and valid.

People ultimately told her that she's NTA in this situation and that her expectations weren't high or anything. Her mom could've went to both events fine.

It seems like almost everyone was on the same page about this and we definitely have to agree with them because her mom definitely could have attended both.

OP actually responded to this person and explains more of why she was upset about this situation.

People in the comments had much to say about her situation, but ultimately they were all on her side. They explained to her why her mom could have come and that despite her mom not being there, she should still feel proud of her accomplishments.
