Surprisingly, being pursued by individuals you're not interested in is one of the worst aspects of modern dating. Having to reject someone is not a pleasant experience.
The worry that the aforementioned person will start acting hostilely and aggressively is worse, though. While anyone can become aggressive, and women are equally culpable in this regard, there appears to be a trend among heterosexual men to lash out at women when they reject them.
No matter how gracious or considerate you are in your rejection, some guys will immediately resort to abusive language, threats, and physical violence. The OP of today's story didn't have it any different.
The OP had had this male friend for years, and he asked her to hang out, to which she agreed. The OP mentioned that they weren't particularly close, but they would hang out every now and then.
Conversations between them were tame, always about school, work, and relationships, and it was by no means a flirtatious friendship. So the OP never got the vibe that he was ever into her, but apparently, he was.
On one of their car rides, the guy asked if he could kiss the OP, to which he got a negative reply. He said he wanted a relationship with the OP, but she wasn't into him.
So the guy decided to put their lives at risk, and you can read the full story below.
