When your parents are growing old and may seem like they're nearing the end of the line, it's actually good to make plans and divvy up what needs to be divided. It's morbid, yes, but it would actually be very helpful in the long run.

Most aging parents would even take up the matter themselves way before they start getting too old. However, with respect, you shouldn't force them onto it.

As long as they're still alive and as long as they are able to, they should be the ones making decisions about their things and properties. Sadly, Redditor NikosRants' parents don't seem to understand that.

Ever since OP's grandma turned 80, the couple has been quick to start changing up her house, fluffing it up, and basically getting it ready for sale even though grandma is still living there, alive and well enough. They also don't seem to care that things are moving too fast for the old woman.

It's also very mean for them to not even consider what grandma would feel about the changes in her home. It's like they're acting as if she wasn't there.

OP's parents are just being plain cruel to grandma. The poor old lady should never be put in a position like that where she's losing her freedom and everything around her just because of the greed of people who don't care about her.

Hopefully, OP finds a way to stop his parents from harassing the old woman, even if it means he has to take legal measures. And hopefully, grandma still finds peace away from those people in her final years.
