Margot Robbie Admits She's Disappointed She Didn't Get To Kiss Ryan Gosling In The Barbie Movie

After what feels like a lifetime of anticipation, the Barbie movie is in cinemas at long last. It's been a long time since we've seen such an extravagant press tour for a movie, not to mention the infinite array of merchandise.

The long-awaited Greta Gerwig film follows Barbie as she sets off on a journey of self-discovery, leaving Barbieland in search of answers from the real world. With Australian beauty Margot Robbie starring as the 'Stereotypical Barbie' and Hollywood heartthrob Ryan Gosling playing her Ken, the casting couldn't get much better than this.

But, whilst they share an undeniable chemistry on screen, it's notable that the pair never kiss at any point in the film. In real life, however, Margot has admitted she's disappointed she never got to kiss Ryan during filming.

"All of my girlfriends were like, 'Well you did a whole movie with him and you don’t kiss? What’s wrong with you? I thought you were kind of in charge on this one!’," the actress recalled. "I was like, 'I know, I can’t check that one off my list'."

Meanwhile, it seems that Ryan was relieved that there were no kissing scenes. "It was so funny trying to figure out what their idea of kissing might be," Ryan said. "I’m so glad all of that got cut out."

But, while there's no making out, there is plenty of singing, dancing, love, and (of course) pink throughout the Barbie movie. Not to mention the vibrant and utterly flawless costumes and set design - Barbie's dreamhouse is to die for!
