Many homeowners when decorating their houses stick to very normal designs and colours. Others decide to add quirky additions to the house.

One frequent quirky change made to houses are those made to the mailboxes. If you image search 'interesting mailboxes' you'll see a variety of creative designs, from normal seeming mailboxes being held up by a hand that has burst out of the ground to mailboxes shaped like the AT-ATs from Star Wars or shaped like miniature houses, there is truly no creative idea for a mailbox that hasn't been made.

One common design however is that of sea life and more specifically manatees.

The mailbox was made and sold by Florida-based business Manatee Mailboxes, that is affiliated with the ‘Save the Manatee’ club. These mailboxes cost $600 each.
