On a seemingly routine Tuesday morning, a horrific accident unfolded at the Lumut naval base in northern Malaysia, where two military helicopters crashed into each other during a training session.

This grave incident resulted in the deaths of all 10 individuals onboard both aircraft, marking a somber day for the Malaysian Armed Forces.

The helicopters involved were an AW139 maritime operation helicopter and a Fennec lightweight helicopter. The AW139, which was carrying seven crew members, tragically plummeted onto a sports complex within the naval base.

Meanwhile, the smaller Fennec helicopter, with three personnel aboard, crash-landed into a nearby swimming pool. The collision is believed to have occurred when the helicopters' rotor blades clipped each other in mid-air.
