What's the first thing that comes to your mind when you see a slimy snail stuck to your teacup? I don't know about you, but I'd skip town for a couple of years.
Let's agree to disagree that not everyone has the courage to click pictures of slimy, sluggy creatures enjoying a cup of tea. Especially not if they're too close to my "run for your life" border that I've comfortably secured for my safety.
That border, for me, starts half an inch from my skin and stops about 500 meters from my skin. Let's just say it's a safe distance for me and many more like myself.
But this post isn't about me. I mean, I wish it was, but it isn't.
This post is about Jay Rainey an epic woman who loves hosting magical tea parties with different animals.
Guests arrived at her enchanted tea parties in many ways. While some hopped and flew, others slithered and crawled.
Either way, her unwavering excitement for these magical tea parties is unfathomable. While some of us would run for our lives, she lovingly welcomes her guests and captures the magical moments with her camera.
Would you have ever picked up a toad to help them sit in their chair before starting the photoshoot? Yeah me neither, but Jay did it.
She actually picked up a toad, who she lovingly named Ms. Toad, and helped her sit. While she was doing that Ms. Toad accidentally peed on Jay's hand.
Now at this point, I'd most likely scream in horror, but not Jay. She believes Ms. Toad had a pre-existing bladder condition and so it was unfair to take it personally.
Jay, who's a tea lover herself, uses non-GMO, non-toxic, and animal-friendly Earl Grey tea every time she hosts her magical tea party. She also provides a pot of freshly picked mint to go with the lukewarm tea since some guests prefer to munch on fresh snacks.
While I would never see myself clicking pictures, I do find the below images quite mesmerizing. Each animal you're about to see is beautiful in its own way.
Mother Nature takes good care of these little critters, and we're forever thankful. Here's to Jay for helping us see these animals with a more loving perspective!

Jay RaineyIn Summary...
Jay considers herself a Farsidist, an art form inspired by Gary Larson for his Far Side cartoons. But how exactly does Jay get to take such magical pictures?
Well, she lives in a cabin in the woods somewhere in British Columbia where she gets to document her life surrounded by nature. Isn't it great though?
While most of us a scared of these fluffy, creepy crawlies, Jay appreciates them for their beauty and helps the world see these creatures from a different perspective! Here's to Jay!
