Guy Freaks Out After Not Being Able To Find His Cat While Parked On The Side The Highway
This is every cat owner’s worst nightmare ?

Cats are very sneaky animals, they're curious by nature, and thanks to their sneaky little bodies that defy all laws of physics and nature, they can basically infiltrate pretty much anything. That's why most domestic cats are exclusively kept indoors because you never know where they could end up, the whole outside world is their playground.
Cat parents are constantly considering the possibility that their cat may manage to slip out when they least expect it, and cats are pretty known for that. Once they do ever manage to slip out, getting them back inside is the most frustrating thing you could ever do.
Reddit u/MIKE_son_of_MICHAEL went through one of the scariest experiences and basically every cat owner's greatest fear. Because losing your cat in your neighborhood might be annoying, but losing them on the highway is something straight out of your worst nightmare.
u/MIKE_son_of_MICHAEL got pulled over by a State Trooper while driving on the highway with his cat Randall Flagg (yes, he has a last name!) and after he sorted things out and went back to his car, the cat was nowhere to be seen. u/MIKE_son_of_MICHAEL (OP) and his cat Randall Flagg.

Here's the original Reddit post by u/MIKE_son_of_MICHAEL:

OP then reveals the reason as to why he got pulled over by a State Trooper.

That's when OP realizes that Randall Flagg is missing from the car.

At one point nothing seemed to work and OP was starting to get desperate.

Local people provided a lot of help and support.

Thankfully, the story ended up having a good ending, and everyone was quite relieved!

Reddit users had a lot of different reactions to OP's story:

It could've went horribly wrong, but thankfully it was not the case.

Randall Flagg is a good boy and wouldn't do such things.

They're easily seduced by food and treats, they just can't help it.

Every cat should have a last name, that's a pretty cool concept.

If they're tied to the seat belt clip, they ain't going nowhere.

I think it was stressful of all of us!

The owner's scent helps a lot, they easily recognize it and go to it.

You are missing out dude.

This is also quite important.

Kentuckians apparently love hearing about Kentucky.

He could avoid a world of trouble by getting a kitty carrier.

Every cat owner would relate to this panic.

That's one of the first things people should start checking.

Puuurfect ending to a somewhat scary story.

That on top of speeding and driving recklessly.

OP could've put himself and others in danger.

You gotta make sure that the kitty stays in the carrier.

It's reckless and dangerous and not something you mention casually.

Cat parents go through moments like these all the time, it's kind of part of having a cat in your life, they do as they please even if it will result in you freaking the hell out. It's basically their world and we're just living in it.
OP was lucky that his cat didn't decide to wander around or even worse expose itself to danger. However, this wouldn't have happened if he made sure that his cat is inside the kitty carrier.
Other than that, we do not condone OP's reckless driving and we hope he does become aware of the dangers he's exposing himself and others to.

Ayoub
