No-kill shelters work around the clock to ensure that their rescue animals wind up in the love and care of a good adoptive family. They try their best with every single dog or cat to make sure that they are given exposure and opportunities to be adopted.
However, despite the shelter's best efforts, sometimes animals are just simply overlooked by potential adopters. Dahlia, an American Staffordshire Terrier Mix, happened to be one of these overlooked pups.
The poor dog has lived her ENTIRE life within the Humane Society in Santa Barbra. She came to the shelter when she was 6 months old and now, at 7 years, the shelter's volunteers are desperate to find a good home for her.
The shelter posted a video of Dahlia enjoying all of the attention she was getting from the staff and a volunteer commented, “She is a really sweet, smart, loving, loyal big lap dog … Looking for a great single pet home for her. She will make someone really happy!”
